I would like to thank not only Carol but all of our athletes for their love of Canada by representing our country at the Olympics. It is wonderful for Canada when they win medals. However, even if they do not win a single medal, their dedication and sacrifice for Canada are awesome and worthy of our appeciation.

Carol Wow I am so very proud of you! I stayed up all night to watch your match. And it was really hard to fall asleep after I was so happy. Very well done! And like you said "Its going to be fast." I am so happy that I got too see you TWICE before you left to the Olympics: At our School H.S.S and also at the Fire Dept. for your car wash. You are a truly an Insparation to me and all of the Hazeltons. You proved to me that even if grow up in a small town you can go very far. When I saw you up on the podium I was soo Proud of you, you showed alot P.R.I.D.E. It made me think of all the things that I can accomplish if I put my mind to it and work my hardest you can make it to the top of that pyramid! I can not imagine how you felt.
And there was a whole bunch of news people that were trying to get a hold of the Fire Dept. It was CRAZY! :) Can't wait for you to come back to little old Hazelton!

Every time I watch the YouTube video showing you crying on the podium, while the Maple Leaf was being raised with our national anthem being played, my eyes are filled with tears. And I have watched this video many, many times..., and every time I cried...

I saw in your crying the love for Canada, the pride of being a Canadian regardless of the skin color, and your happiness of making Canada proud after so many years of hard work and dedication for no financial rewards.

The very first time I had ever heard of or saw you was when you won your match to advance to the Gold medal match. I was blown away by your skill, your smooth execution, and your ability under pressure to remain calm and cool. I knew right then you would win the Gold. I spent about 10 mins thinking of a great message to write on carols website to out do gen then I didnt bother answering what is 2 plus 4 not because I didnt know..it is 6 but anyways i will just tell you my witty comments later. this will have to strictly be I think your amazing and you deserve the best cant wait to see you compete in august!!

So the other day i was a little embarassed to have googled your name and creep on your website, but now that things are out in the open i guess its ok for me to write you a message. You're awesome and funny and a total weirdo. Im extremely fortunate to beat up on you every day. Good luck this summer (mainly with training cause after that you really just have to show up and wrestle and you're really not too bad at doing that). You're one of those special people i look up to (not literally of course)and i believe that all those "step ups" will pay off when climbing on top of the podium.
